In reply to Mae. Hi :) We spent the first days in Taipei without a rental car, as we didn't need it in the city. We only rented it starting from the day when we began our Road Trip. We always stayed in different hotels near the places we visited. I added them all with links as Hotel Recommendations in this post :)

hi. have you rented a car from the beginning of the trip or only when you went outside taipei? also where have you base your stay, is it in taipei or in each every city?

In reply to Gabriela. We did the whole trip in less than a week :D But honestly I would suggest to plan at least a week or ten days to fully enjoy it. So you don't have to rush around like we did :)
